The theme is based on Mabel Collins (1852-1927); British occultist, vegetarian, author, introvert and Virgo who was rumored to have been romantically involved with Jack the Ripper.
Sonically, every Piercing release approaches things a bit differently, with no set formula or limitations on experimenting with new ideas...and "The Blossom and the Fruit" is no different, yet it is also an amalgamation of all previous aspects of the project (decrepit tape loops, no-fi harsh noise, oldschool industrial and power electronics), and the tracks were all sort of "written" and rehearsed before being mixed and recorded straight to tape.
